Design and Installation of Infrastructure and 38 EV Chargers at Luxury Hospitality Site

Soho Farmhouse, a luxury countryside retreat, commissioned One Way to deliver electrical infrastructure for EV charging as part of a 128-space car park extension. With limited spare power capacity available from the existing site infrastructure, the challenge was to design and install a network that maximised the number of chargers while adhering to planning and space constraints.

Through careful load monitoring and strategic reconfiguration of the site’s electrical distribution, One Way designed and delivered a solution supporting 38 EV charging bays, complete with dedicated low-profile LV distribution and local amenity lighting—all within a four-month programme.

Scope of Works Included:

  • Site-wide load monitoring to assess available spare capacity
  • Design of new LV distribution layout and schematic drawings
  • Installation of LV sub-main cabling to two new distribution boards
  • Power distribution cabling to 38 individual EV charger locations
  • Installation of a low-profile LV kiosk to meet planning constraints
  • Coordination with civil contractors for ducting and concrete base details
  • Installation of low-level amenity lighting for user safety and visibility
  • Reconfiguration of existing distribution to enable spare capacity export to new EV infrastructure
