Electrical Maintenance Manager

Location

Head Office: Stoke-on-Trent

Job Type

Full-time

This isn’t just another management job — it’s your chance to build, lead, and own an entire division.

One Way Group is expanding. Our projects division is thriving, our client base is national, and our electrical PPM work is growing fast. Now, we’re separating maintenance and reactive services into their own dedicated department — and we’re looking for the right person to turn it into an operational powerhouse.

Have you ever wanted to be part of an elite team — where you look around and think wow, these people actually inspire me?

You’ll work closely with, and report directly to, our Operations Director, taking full ownership of preventive, remedial, and reactive works across our industrial client base.

This is your opportunity to create systems, lead engineers, and develop processes that deliver world-class industrial electrical maintenance — all backed by One Way’s reputation for quality, technical excellence, and exceptional service.

Our Culture

Our culture isn’t for everyone. We move fast, set high standards, and embrace progress, change, experimentation — and even failure — as part of the process.

Before applying, take a look at our Ten Guiding Principles — they’ll give you a clear sense of who we are and what we stand for: www.onewaygroup.co.uk/about/principles

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead and grow a team of electrical maintenance engineers
  • Survey new sites and discuss electrical PPMs with customers
  • Estimate and quote for preventive and remedial works
  • Schedule, support, and oversee engineers across national sites
  • Review completed inspections and produce or oversee professional PPM reports
  • Provide technical advice on electrical system health and compliance
  • Oversee remedial works within live client environments
  • Collaborate closely with the Electrical Projects Manager to share resources, insight, and culture

You’ll manage maintenance delivery across:

  • Fixed Wiring (inc. Thermographic Surveys)
  • Emergency Lighting
  • LV Switchboards
  • Control Panels
  • EV Charging

Plus coordinate specialist subcontract PPMs, such as:
Power Factor Correction, Lightning Protection, UPS, ACBs, DSEAR, Portable Appliances, and other specialist systems as required.

What We’re Looking For

You’ve been a Test Engineer before — and you loved it. You know the work inside out and can guide others confidently. You’re organised, personable, and detail-obsessed, with the ability to design systems and processes that can scale.

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Experienced in testing, inspection, and estimating electrical maintenance works
  • Customer-facing, confident, and commercially aware
  • A systems thinker — able to design and refine maintenance operations
  • A stickler for detail — especially in reporting and compliance
  • Motivated by building something long-term, not just managing what already exists
  • Able to commute to our Staffordshire office — we’re an in-person team, not a remote one

Got what it takes?
