Full Design & Installation of LV Upgrade & Power Supplies to a New Production Line

One Way was appointed as the principal electrical contractor to modify the electrical installation to the former Remploy Building to upgrade and meet the requirements of the client’s expansion project within a short time frame.

The project involved the expansion of the LV Panel to meet the requirements of the new dust extraction system and additional manufacturing plant. The installation of high-level ladder containment to facilitate the distribution of supply cables to the woodworking equipment throughout the production area. The design and installation of new lighting under a new mezzanine floor area in the goods outward department. The connection of all dust extraction panels, motors and associated controls. The modification of lighting and power circuits to meet new business needs. A breakdown of the project included:

  • Extension of the main LV electrical panel to accommodate new supplies
  • Installation of new supplies to existing Power Busbar Trunking System
  • Design and installation of high-level cable ladder containment
  • Design and installation of sub-mains supply to dust extraction motors and control panels
  • Installation of control circuits to dust extraction systems
  • Design and installation of new lighting under mezzanine
  • Modification of existing lighting and power circuits
  • Close liaison with client senior management
